Andrea Kapos is an award winning director working in commercials, branded content and documentary. She specialises in authentic performance, directing kids and real people.

Andrea started her directing life at the BBC, training both as a creative and director, making award winning promo campaigns for the likes of Cbeebies, Eastenders and BBC World. After a stint directing BBC Drama ‘Doctors’ Andrea left the BBC and entered the world of the freelance commercials director.

With a particular specialism in directing children, Andrea’s has gained accolades directing both scripted and unscripted performance. She has a passion for working with real people – young and old – allowing them to be their best, most relaxed selves in front of the camera (no mean feat). Her background in directing drama at the BBC also means she is highly skilled at narrative and working with actors to achieve authentic and natural performance.

Andrea has a flair for casting and performance, a gentle insightful approach to her work and a collaborative spirit.

Script writing is one of Andrea’s core skills – she freelances as a Senior Creative and is co-founder of female owned production agency Think Make Create.

Andrea lives in Whitstable with her family and is available for work all over the world.
